Gala + Silent Auction 2019

SoLA Contemporary’s biannual fundraising gala to benefit our art education initiatives and gallery programming will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019, 6-9 PM

The evening will include: a silent art auction with pieces graciously donated by supporters and friends of SoLA; guest speakers who will share their personal and inspiring art journeys; delicious homemade BBQ by a local pit-master, with vegetarian options, too; live music; and of course, tons of art and good times socializing among our vibrant art community.

Proceeds raised will help support SoLA’s rotation of thoughtfully curated, diversity-minded contemporary art exhibits that are always free and open to the public. As well as all of our programming, which includes creative practice groups, free artist-led workshops, sequential art classes for those who are less privileged, guest curatorial programs, international artist residencies, local artist portfolio reviews, and more. SoLA is a nonprofit, artist-led organization and we graciously request your support and attendance to our event!

Event details

Music

Tyler James Babcock: California Folk Singer-Songwriter

Tyler’s folk music is full of emotion and energy. Though somber, his smokey voice and acoustic melodies keep the listener enthralled.

Billy Stobo: Folk, Country, Gospel, Blues

Billy’s music conjures up spirits of the past with tales of jilted love, pointed historical commentary, and folks having raucous good time.

Lordess: Los Angeles Singer-Songwriter

Lordess’s music is her way of letting people into her feelings, head, and heart space. She puts energy, time, and effort into everything she can do. She loves to engage in all things related to art and beauty, and finds music to be one of her proudest creations.
